Mass anti-austerity protest fills central Madrid
A sea of chanting protesters from across Spain swamped the centre of Madrid on Saturday to demonstrate against government austerity measures.
Tens of thousands of demonstrators packed the streets of the Spanish capital leading to the central Plaza Colon for a huge rally to hear speeches by union leaders condemning conservative Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy's steep budget cuts, AFP correspondents reported.
