Yahoo! buys Arabic web portal Maktoob |

Yahoo! Inc, one of the largest global online network of integrated
services, has entered yesterday into a definitive agreement to acquire
Arab world's popular online community Maktoob.com, aiming to expand
into the emerging markets of the Arab region.
Although financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, some analysts estimate the value of Maktoob.com at around $85 million.

A 2,500-year-old Egyptian mummy, under examination of a high-tech
scanner at Stanford Medical Center, may shed new light on ancient
medical care and death in Egypt, reports say.
Researchers at Stanford are analyzing a minor priest from ancient Egypt
named Iret-net Hor-irw, or "The Eye of Horus is Upon You," the San
Francisco Chronicle reports.

Studies to establish the Egyptian first civilian nuclear station are
still going on to choose the best site, Dabaa being the primary
recommendation
For his part, Egypt's Electricity Minister Hassan Younis told a meeting of the Shura
Council's industry and energy committee Tuesday the consultancy house
of the project is investigating whether Dabaa is the best choice.
