Egypt's Culture Minister Farouk Hosni announced that Egyptian archaeologists digging near the Suez Canal have discovered the remains of what is believed to be the largest fortress in the eastern Delta

Located at the site of Tell Dafna, between El-Manzala Lake and the Suez Canal, the remains reveal the foundation of a military town about 9 miles (15 kilometers) northeast of the city of western Qantara.

Swine Flu threatens drama series in EgyptDirector of the new television drama series in Egypt “Qalbi Dalili” (Can Tell By My Heart) about the life of the late singer ‘Laila Murad’ is facing some difficulty filming the scenes on the new series that were supposed to take place in Paris because of the globally spreading Swine Flu Virus

The crew members of the new series were supposed to travel to Paris for 20 days and to start filming, yet because of the new virus spreading rapidly, the makers of the drama are skeptical about travelling outside of Egypt.
