A number of
activists on the "Facebook" called for nominating Gamal Mubarak, the eldest son of Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak for
the post of the head of the Egyptian Business Association, in his
capacity as an accountant, meanwhile, more than other 58 groups, on the
same site, called for nominating him for the Egyptian presidential
elections
A number of activists opposing Gamal Mubarak's nomination for the
presidency, opened a group on the Facebook under the name "Together for
selecting Gamal Mubarak as head of the Business Association"

Undersecretary of State for Tourism and General Director of Tourist Pilgrimage in Egypt Usama al Ashri confirmed that Egypt's ministry has no plan for canceling pilgrimage or deferring Umrah (minor pilgrimage) this year.
He also indicated that the ministry will do that, if only instructed by the concerned Egyptian and Saudi authorities.
Internationally, swine flu infected cases in Saudi Arabia have reached 89 cases, after the Saudi Ministry of Health has reported 8 new cases.

Egyptian Opposition Muslim Brotherhood Group (MB) will not stand
on Gamal Mubarak's heritage. The group leaders are adopting
that stance in order to avoid any clashes with the Egyptian government, which
might destroy them, according to Reuters
The group eventually decided to act only within the narrow lane of
freedom permitted by the government, with which the group's members'
situation is moving from bad to worse.

An earthquake of at least 5.9
magnitude struck in the Mediterranean Sea off southern Greece on
Wednesday and was felt as far away as Cairo in Egypt, but there were no
immediate reports of injuries, officials said
The Athens Geodynamic Institute said the quake struck at 0930 GMT, 170
km south of the island of Crete, and 450 km southeast of Athens.

Egyptian Health Ministry announced on Monday that five more cases of influenza A/H1N1 , bringing
the total number of the flu in the populous country to 66
Four cases (3, 10, 13, and 14) come from Sharqiya Governorate,
about 65 km north of Cairo who have contacted A/H1N1 patient coming
from the United States, according to Abdel Rahman Shahine, Egypt's Health Ministry Spokesman
