Main Egyptian stock indexes followed Arab Gulf markets down on Sunday, with investment bank EFG-Hermes hit after posting a steep decline in third-quarter net profit last week

EFG-Hermes Shares fell 6.42 percent to last trade 18.50 Egyptian pounds. The largest investment bank in Egypt by market value said on Thursday net profit fell roughly 50 percent in "challenging market conditions which spilled over to regional markets during the quarter."

The Egyptian stock exchange reported Sunday that Egypt's Paint and Chemical Industries Co (PACHIN) PACH.CA reported a 7 percent rise in net profit for the 2008 fiscal year to 108 million Egyptian pounds ($19.5 million)

The Egyptian stock exchange reported Sunday that Egypt's Sinai Cement (SC) reported a 4 percent rise in pre-tax profit for the first nine months of 2008 to 298.1 million Egyptian pounds ($53.9 million)

The statement did not provide a reason for the rise.
In a separate statement, the company said it approved doubling its issued capital to 700 million pounds.

Egyptian stock exchange reported Sunday that Egypt's Misr Beni Suef Cement (MBSC) said a 5.6 percent rise in net profit for the first nine months of 2008 to 223.3 million Egyptian pounds ($40.34 million)
