Egypt Foreign Minister official to visit Uganda

Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs and the African Union, Mona Omar, concluded on Thursday a three-day visit to Uganda where she held talks with senior Ugandan officials including the Speaker of Parliament and ministers of Foreign Affairs and of Energy.

On Thursday in Cairo, Mona Omar said that she addressed through meetings with ministers and senior officials in Uganda, various bilateral issues and themes on water, in addition to exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest.

Omar noted that this visit comes within the framework of the African tours of Egyptian officials of State to highlight the interest and Egypt’s keenness on developing and strengthening foreign relations with the countries of the continent, countries of geographical proximity and of the Nile Basin in particular.
