Egyptian authorities released a detained U.S. red wheat cargo on Sunday
after testing showed it was fit for consumption
The 63,000-tonne shipment had arrived in Port Said last week and had been undergoing testing, according to official Middle East News Agency.
An Egyptian quarantine official told Reuters last week that a U.S. shipment was being held for testing after officials found an excessive amount of seeds on first inspection.
