Egypt received on Sunday the first batch of A/H1N1 vaccine from the United Kingdom

About 80,000 doses of the vaccine were transported to Cairo airport from the United Kingdom through Amsterdam and another 70,000 doses will arrive on Monday.

Earlier, the Egyptian Health Minister Hatem el-Gabali said that Egypt is to import 5.5 million doses of the vaccine which will be transported to Egypt from this month on.

Egypt's Health Ministry reported Saturday that the fifth A/H1N1 flu death case.

Up till now, the ministry has reported more than 1,000 cases of the novel flu virus in the most populous Arab country.
