Yemen seized Egypt boat in territorial waters Mohammed Abdul Hakim, ambassador and Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular affairs, Egyptians abroad, immigration and refugees, proclaimed that the Yemeni authorities have arrested an Egyptian fishing boat called "Shahinda Gaber".

The boat carries 22 fishermen who entered the Yemeni territorial waters illegally according to him, reported independent source.

Abdul Hakim said that the Yemeni authorities seized the fish on the boat, which estimated at six thousand tons.

He pointed out that the Egyptian embassy in Sana'a is following the progress of investigations being conducted by the Yemeni authorities with the crew of the boat and the fishermen working in it.

The ambassador warned the Egyptian fishing boats of entering and fishing in the territorial waters of other States without a permit or license.

He stressed on fishermen to respect international laws for not conduct the seizure and detention of them; further, added imprisonment and imposition of fines will be against who doesn't fallow laws.
