Egypt’s Ahly have been ordered to play their next home African match behind closed doors after its supporters’ riot last week, The Confederation of African Football (CAF) official website said on Saturday.

The Cairo giants were also fined $40 thousand by the CAF disciplinary committee as their supporters lit several fireworks through the second leg of CAF Champions League round of 16 match against Zambia’s ZESCO United at Cairo Stadium.

The game was halted for five minutes and one of ZESCO players, Billy Mwanza, was taken to the hospital after an object thrown from the stands struck his arm.

The Zambian side have lodged a complaint to the CAF, asking to replay the game.

Tunisia’s Club Africain were fined $80 thousand and punished their fans for invading the pitch during the Sudanese Al Hilal by closing fans out of the next two matches in the same round.

The Tunisian club supporters were condemned by the committee for interrupting the game, using fireworks and aggression towards the referee.

The committees’ other sanctions for the same round came as follows:

- Algeria's  J.S.K was fined $50 thousand for his supporters’ throwing of explosive projectiles during their Confederation Cup game against Missile FC from Gabon. They face being excluded from CAF competitions if they are found guilty of another incident within a year.

- Morocco’s Raja were fined $15 thousand for their supporters’ using of laser beams and flares against Tourbillon from Chad.

- Head coach and a player of Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca were each fined and suspended, while the goalkeeper was also fined for misconduct during TP Mazembe’s clash.

- Finally, RD Congo’s TP Mazembe were fined $15 thousand for their supporters’ pitch invasion at the end of the match.
