The April 6 Movement released a statement to Foreign Minister Nabil El-Arabi demanding to strip Nasser Kamel of his title as Egypt’s ambassador to France

The ambassador, the statement said, went so far as to deny to the entire French media that the ministry of interior was behind the shooting of peaceful protesters during the January 25 Revolution, especially the 28 January, dubbed the “Friday of Anger” - something which is largely indisputable.

This they took as another clear sign of Kamel’s defence of Egypt’s corrupt, ousted regime.

The April 6 Movement also cited the fact that Nasser yesterday closed the Egyptian embassy to Egyptians who wanted to protest against him.
