The Augustana College band is scheduled to leave Sunday for Egypt and a 20-day trip that includes five concert performances

Band director Bruce Ammann told the Argus Leader that few American bands have performed in Egypt.

Tour director Brad Heegel said the band takes an international trip every four years. Three previous tours have been to China.

Heegel said the trip costs each of the 71 band members $3,900. Augustana College pays $400 per student.
