FIFA.com A number of students from Cairo's first Sports Management Programme met FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter at the unveiling of a new Egyptian Football Association (EFA) technical centre on 16 October 2009.
In early 2008, the University of Cairo became the sixth partner institution of the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), with the first edition of the FIFA/CIES Sports Management programme beginning in October that same year. Founded in 1908, the University currently boasts 12 faculties and institutes and over 260,000 students. The second edition of the prestigious Sports Management programme is set to get underway on 6 December 2009.
