Egyptian
officials say border guards have wounded an African migrant woman and
arrested 18 men from Ethiopia and Eritrea trying to cross illegally
into Israel, according to AP
Security and medical officials say border guards tried to stop the woman from crossing early Sunday south of the Rafah border crossing. They say the guards first fired warning shots in the air but then shot her in the arm when she refused to surrender.
