 Egypt's Amr Zaki and Mohamed Aboutreika are in the running for the 2008 BBC African Footballer of the Year award Emmanuel Adebayor, who lifted the prestigious title, last year, joins Samuel Eto'o and Didier Drogba on the list of nominees. However, it is the Pharaohs duo who are rated as favourites to claim the prize, following striker Zaki's scoring exploits with Wigan and Aboutreika's massive midfield contributions both for Al Ahly and his country.
Voting closes on January 9th, with the winner being announced a week later.
