A spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas reported Wednesday that Hamas will send its delegation for talks with Egyptian official over the inter-Palestinian dialogue early next monthIsmail Hanya

Ismail Radwan, a spokesman for Hamas, said the delegation will comprise Hamas officials from Gaza Strip and Damascus and will start the meetings with the Egyptian officials on Oct. 8.
Radwan did not reveal the names of the delegation members and he did not confirm whether Hamas officials from West Bank will join the delegation.
Egypt has been mediating between the Palestinian factions in an effort to broker a national reconciliation ending the political separation between Gaza and West Bank.
The split took shape when Hamas routed security forces of Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, ousted his Fatah movement and took control of the Gaza Strip. Abbas then consolidated his power in West Bank while Hamas tightened the grip on the Gaza Strip.
Egypt has held a series of meetings with the representatives of the Palestinian factions to get their view on how to end the Hamas-Fatah feud. Fatah movement will send its delegation to Cairo by the end of this month.
"We are going to Cairo with our hearts and minds open, hoping these meetings will lead to a serious Palestinian dialogue reuniting the Palestinians," Radwan said.
Radwan stressed that Hamas wants the dialogue to "respect all the legitimacies and activate the previous deals." He was referring to Hamas' victory in the 2006 parliamentary elections, implicitly rejecting offers for an early elections.
Radwan also announced that Hamas rejects any "preconditions in the dialogue," adding that his movement wants the formation of a national unity government, not a technocrat one.
