Egyptian Zamalek Coach Rudolf Krol is assured of home victory in the second leg of the African Champions League due in a fortnight in Cairo, EgyptHe said after game on Saturday, “this is a good start for my side playing away from home. This gives me the confidence that we shall win the return leg at our home ground” Egyptian Zamalek started off in a fantastic style forcing APR to suffer their first set back in continental's lucrative championship, losing 1-2 to Egyptian side at Nyamirambo stadium on Saturday. Zamalek goals were scored by Moustafa Gaafar and Hamza Gamal while APR got a consolation through their newly signed Cameroonian Atcham Atcham. The national league champions who were missing four of their influential players in the game including Haruna Niyonzima (Knee injury), Kabange Twite (Malaria), Mbuyu Twite (suspension) and Aime Ndanda (suspension) have set their eyes on the second leg scheduled to be played in Cairo on March 1-2. According to Mfutila, Haruna and Kabange are expected to start training this week in preparation for the second leg. The military had last defeated Zamalek 4-1 during the 2004 African champions league second leg of the second round which was played at Amahoro stadium after losing 2-3 in first leg played in Cairo.
