| Egypt to host Africa Challenge of golf championship |

Egypt will host the biannual All Africa Challenge Trophy ladies golf championship from April 26 to May 1 at the Katamaya Heights Meanwhile, according to the 2008 Kenya Ladies Golf Union calendar which has just been released, the All Africa Challenge Trophy championship will be followed by the Egyptians Ladies Open from May 3 to 4. The ladies action starts with a seminar at Vet Lab on January 21 followed by the Ladies Invitation at Limuru from January 26. But the first Golfer of The Year tournament will take place at Sigona on February 9 with the second one set for Limuru on February 16. The Eileen Belcher Trophy, one of the six tournaments organized directly by the KLGU is set for March 29 to 30 this time at Karen. Royal Nairobi will host the KLGU Open Meeting from April 5 to 6 before the Kenya team leave for the All Africa Ladies Challenge in Egypt. The Ladies Open which rotates between Kitale and Eldoret will this time be hosted by Eldoret from May 17 and 18. This year tournament was staged at the par 73 Kitale course and was sponsored by KWAL. The Kenya Amateur Ladies Open Strokeplay championship, a 54-hole event will this time be held at Muthaiga from July 5 to 6. The week-long Coast Open will, as usual, start at Leisure Lodge on August 5 and will end up at Nyali Golf and Country Club on August 9. The Matchplay championship then follows at Sigona from September 5 to 7. Nakuru will host the last leg of the GOTY series on October 4 to 5, with the KLGU Lady chairman Prize being the last major event in the calendar which also combines with the KLGU annual general meeting to be staged at Limuru from October 11 to 12.
