Egypt IT Electronics and Software Federation will participate in CeBIT Eurasia Informatics which considered the largest information and communication technology fair in Eurasia CeBIT Eurasia Informatics welcomes visitors from 70 countries with over 900 companies. In the exhibition, a total of 524 new products will meet the audience as its objective is set as providing IT solutions to the business world in strategic management. At the CeBIT Eurasia Informatics, a meeting point for IT professionals and technology lovers, the highest resolution plasma will be displayed among the new products. Germans will present their solutions to traffic problems as the Spanish seek ways to open to Eurasia via CeBIT. Running until Oct. 7, the exhibition will open its doors at the TUYAP Fair and Congress Center today, enabling 150.000 visitors from 70 countries with over 900 firms to identify business trends within the international ICT industry. Industry and Commerce Minister Zafer Çağlayan, Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbaş, Hannover Mayor Stephan Weil, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Murat Yalçintas and Turkcell General Manager Süreyya Ciliv will open the largest IT fair of Eurasia. A special “new product” sign along with a total of 524 new products will be displayed by 96 participating companies. Taiwan joins the exhibition with 11 firms, Germany with 22, China with 8. CeBIT Eurasia Informatics allocated three special incentive zones for those who showcase mobile solutions and innovative products in addition to small-size software producers in Turkey. “Until today they focused on participant companies but in the future they will focus on visitors. To succeed in more effective participation of companies”, Mr. Alexander Wurst the Project Manager in Deutsche Messe partnering with HIFAS which organizes CeBIT announced. He added “new communication tools will be presented and marketing efforts of the firms will be bolstered with a customer management system” Wurst gave the annual growth figures of the World IT Market in 2006-2008 reported by the European IT Observatory (EITO). The growth rate of the sector stood at 4.2 percent in 2006, but dropped to 4 percent in 2007. He reported that “in 2008, a 3.8 percent growth is expected. Value of the overall IT market amounts to 2.115 trillion euros” The European region has the biggest share with 33.1 percent and it is followed by the U.S. with 28.4 percent as Japan steals away 13.7 percent. “Istanbul will be one of the few technological commerce centers in the world within the next five years. Today, its concrete steps are taken in the CeBIT Eurasia Informatics fair”, Şafak Alpay the HIFAS General Coordinator has said. He added “in addition to panels, one-on-one meetings will be arranged. Alpay also has said that “Businessmen in Anatolia will join the fair by two different programs and we will teach businessmen how they could profit from IT in strategic management in their companies”
