"Egypt will face serious water shortages by the year 2025 and described the crisis as a possible drought", the Water Research Center of Egypt announced The report which was issued by the Egypt's Water Research center mentioned that 60% of farms would not be receiving any water due to the limiting of water supplements. Increasing pollution will be one of the main reasons of the shortage of water facing Egypt. Worth mentioning, the center commented in the report that it criticized the poor conditions of the Nile River The rapid increase in population in Egypt, moreover miscarriage, absence of good management of water distribution and water pollution will be expected as the main reasons for the shortage. Meanwhile, thirst strikes are taking over the country. In Dakahlia, in the Nile Delta region and Beni Sueif, south of Cairo, hundreds of farmers and villagers are demonstrating against water shortages in the small towns in the respective governants. "The government wasted millions of pounds over failed projects of water towers. Some fell apart before they even began to function," Ibrahim Abou Ouf, an Egyptian Member of Parliament, said.
